What exactly is on-line check-in? We are arriving at the resort earlier than check-in time. I would imagine that the hotels would have to hold our luggage. Is there a benefit of the on-line check-in. Has anyone gotten into their room earlier this way?

    Hi Christina!

The online check in service was created for Disney Guests in order to expedite the check in process upon arrival at your Walt Disney World Resort

You will still need to provide all of the necessary information online that you would normally provide upon regular check-in.  When you arrive at your resort, there is a special line set up for those who have completed online check-in.  This line is usually shorter and quicker.  All you will need to do is provide a photo ID to pick up the packet of information and your Key to the World, which will already be waiting there for you.

The online check-in will not guarantee that your room will be ready earlier than the regular check-in times.  In the case that you do check-in early and your room is not ready, the resort will hold your luggage for you.  That way you will be free to go on and enjoy the Disney Parks.  The Cast Members at the resort will be happy to call or text you to let you know when your room is ready.

I hope this is helpful!  Have a wonderful Walt Disney World vacation!
