What exactly is the diseny dining plan

It's great to see you here today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Nicholas! Dining is pretty much my favorite part of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation, and I spend lots of time in the lead up to a vacation dreaming about and planning for the things I'm going to eat when I'm there. The Disney Dining Plan usually plays a big part in my family's trips and I'm happy to explain to you exactly what it is.

The Disney Dining Plan is a way for guests to pay for all of their meals and snacks in advance as part of their vacation package. When you purchase a Dining Plan, each member of your party is allotted credits to use over the course of your trip to pay for your food when you're ordering it. There are different types of Dining Plans to choose from depending on how your family likes to eat but the most popular one includes one Quick-Service credit, one Table-Service credit, and two Snack credits for each person in your Resort Hotel room for every night of your stay. The Disney Dining Plan can be used at over 200 dining locations around the Theme Parks, Resort Hotels, and Disney Springs including at Character Dining, buffets and family-style meals, and signature dining experiences as well! Most people find that they save a little bit of money when they use the Dining Plan compared to paying for their meals out of pocket, and international guests especially love using it because it means that there's no need to calculate exchange rates every time you sit down to eat.

Nicholas, it is important to note that at the current time, the Disney Dining Plan is temporarily unavailable. In order to implement capacity and physical distancing measures at restaurants to keep guests and Cast Members safe, guests are not currently able to add the Dining Plan to their vacation packages. It's possible that this may change in the future as the phased reopening process of the Theme Parks and Resort Hotels continues, so be sure to bookmark the Disney Parks Blog to be among the first to know all the breaking Disney Parks news, including any possible return of the Disney Dining Plan.

    Have a magical day, Nicholas!
