What exactly is closed because of COVID-19? We have reservations in November and I would like to know what rides, experiences, etc is different? I know about the mask and social distancing but not about what characters, restaurants, rides, shows etc. Thanks

Welcome back to Disney Parks Moms Panel, Hallie!

What a wonderful time to visit Walt Disney World--Thanksgiving week! Characters, parks, and resorts will be decked out in their holiday finest, making your visit even more magical.

Once Walt Disney World began its phased reopening, various experience, attractions, dining options, and resorts have come back to welcome guests, so it's a good idea to keep an eye on Disney Parks Blog and the post Returning to a World of Magic for the most updated information. While some traditional happenings may not be offered, there are some really exciting new character entertainment experiences that you and your family are sure to love! For example, at Magic Kingdom Park, Guests can enjoy the Royal Princess Parade (Merida, Tiana, Rapunzel, Cinderella, Aurora, Snow White, Belle, Ariel, Jasmine...and so many more!), the Evil Stepsisters taking over Cinderella Castle (salty banter included), surprise character sightings (Captain Jack Sparrow, Chip 'n' Dale, Buzz Lightyear, Stitch), and several cavalcades that feature Mickey and Friends, Fantasyland friends, Goofy and his buddies, and even Tinkerbell. These offerings are so different and fun, Guests have enjoyed the magical surprise of happening upon a real treasure multiple times throughout their days.

To see what dining options you'll have during your stay, check out the post Dining: Know Before You Go. There, you'll see some great lists of fabulous options in the parks, at Disney Resort Hotels, and at Disney Springs. Remember, if you plan to sit down to a delicious Table Service meal inside one of the four theme parks, you'll need an Advanced Dining Reservation, a valid theme park ticket, as well as a reservation in the Disney Park Pass System. When I made plans for our next trip, I had no trouble coordinating all of these details for each day of our stay.

Don't forget that Character Dining is still a wonderful way to see some of your favorite Disney friends, so be sure to consider breakfast at Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera at Disney's Riviera Resort and lunch or dinner at Garden Grill Restaurant at EPCOT, both of which feature delicious dining with extra character. Lucky Guests may even get to see Beast while enjoying lunch or dinner at Be Our Guest Restaurant; as the master of his castle, if he chooses to come by that day, it will be such a treat!

Of course, appearances and experiences are subject to change, but these will give you an idea of how to plan your visit. As you do, be sure to send more questions our way. We love to help!
