What exact date will small world & haunted mansion close to remove the christmas decorations? I know its some time in January 2024, but I want to make sure those rides aren't closed as I'm planning a trip & enjoy them both

Hi Eric! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for stopping by our happy website to ask us your vacation planning question.

Planning ahead is always a good idea when there are rides involved that are on your must-do list! The Holidays bring some very special overlays to certain attractions, which take quite a bit of time to display and then take down. Because the Holidays last through January 7th, 2024 at The Happiest Place on Earth, "it's a small world" Holiday, and Haunted Mansion Holiday will remain decorated through this date.

The Merriest Little Cruise on Earth will set sail at "it's a small world" Holiday for the last time at closing on January 7th, and this attraction will remain closed through January 18th, 2024. It appears that the halls that Jack Skellington wrecked for Haunted Mansion Holiday will stay that way through January 21st. While Haunted Mansion Holiday is scheduled to be closed for refurbishment beginning on January 22nd, a reopening date has yet to materialize. Your best bet seems to be to plan for a visit in late January or early February if you hope to ride the original versions of these attractions.

As you're planning visits in 2024, be sure to check out the Disneyland Event Calendar that was recently released on Disney Parks Blog. There's so much magic to look forward to in the year ahead! We would love to answer all of your planning questions at planDisney, so please stop by again real soon! We're all ears!

    Happy Planning!
    Smiles,
    Lisa
