Hi! Is there an exact date that paint the night will go on hiatus for the holiday season? We will be in the parks on August 18 and we’re hoping to catch it before the Halloween season starts.

Hey there, hi there, Amy! Welcome to planDisney. You've brought us a great planning question!

With all the excitement of the 70th Celebration and all the amazing entertainment it's brought, everyone has been curious about what would happen with the holidays approaching. I'm happy to share that Halloween Time does not kick off until August 22, 2025, so there should not be any interruption to the entertainment schedule. Plus, it was just recently announced that Paint the Night and World of Color Happiness! are both staying through the Halloween Time festivities. You are now in the window where you can even see the Entertainment Schedule ahead of time. Now details can always change, but you can get a good idea of all the offerings so you can plan your day out accordingly.

The Paint the Night parade is for sure a Guest favorite, but I have to say I have fallen in love with Tapestry of Happiness. It's such a sweet love note to Disneyland. This week, Walt Disney - A Magical Life debuted, as well as an added verse in "it's a small world". You can also hear more about it at the Main Street Cinema, featuring The Last Verse short film.

Amy, there's so much to see and do during your upcoming visit. I hope you have the best time!

Meet the Panelist: Carrie, California

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
