Hello Simon!
So glad to have you onboard here at planDisney! Sounds like you will be setting sail in a few days on one of the Disney Magic at Sea itineraries.
As far as Special Offers, those are generally discounted rates at the time of booking. To answer your question, Disney Cruise Line does offer active or retired U.S. military personnel some
special military rates periodically, which if available would be found on the Special Offers page. Since you already have your voyage all booked, I assume you mean are there any opportunities onboard that might be earmarked just for veterans or to assist the disabled.
Let me assure you that Disney Cruise Line does an exceptional job assisting Guests with medical conditions. I know of two services available for Guests with visual impairment. First, audio descriptions are available for movies in the
Buena Vista Theatre. Guest Services can provide receivers to Guests with a refundable security deposit (to ensure the device gets returned). Second, Captain Mickey uses a larger print for select communications upon request. Did you know that audio format availability can be provided for the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, which details activities and entertainment.
Two resources that you should review are the
Services for Guests with Disabilities or Medical Conditions link and the corresponding
Online Guidebook. Guests with special needs can also contact the Special Services team at (407) 566-3602 or SpecialServices@disneycruise.com. The Cast Members are always in a better position to help if they know your situation in advance.
Chart a course back to planDisney if we can assist you again, Simon. Wishing you a very MAGICal voyage!
Sherry
