Ahoy there, Kelly! Thanks for sailing to planDisney. Welcome!
You are just days away from your Disney Cruise aboard the
Disney Magic! I'm guessing you are packing and thinking about what laundry you might need to do during your trip. The Disney Magic has three self-serve
laundry facilities and they are located midship on Deck 2, 6, and 7. Specifically opposite stateroom 2096 on Deck 2, adjacent to stateroom 6588 on Deck 6, and opposite stateroom 7590 on Deck 7. You can access the deck plans for the Disney Magic in the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app once you are onboard the ship.
The laundry facilities are open 24 hours a day for your convenience. You are welcome to use the laundry services on any available floor, so if you find the machines full on one floor, try the others. I've had good luck finding open washers and dryers most often on Deck 2.
You'll use your Key To The World Card to charge for your laundry services. A Crew Member once gave me the tip that it is a good idea to load your clothing into the machine first, then tap your Key To The World Card to select your desired wash or dry cycle. This will prevent the machine from "timing out" while you load your clothing.
You are welcome to bring your own detergent, fabric softener, and dryer sheets, but if you'd rather save luggage space, you'll find detergent and fabric softener for purchase near the washers and dryers. The laundry facilities area also includes an iron and ironing board for your use.
Did you know Disney Cruise Line also offers valet laundry, pressing, and dry cleaning services? You'll find a laundry bag and price list sheet in your stateroom closet. You can notify your stateroom host if you would like your clothing picked up for this service. I like to use the pressing services for my husband's dress shirts that he packs for
Formal Night and for our favorite place to dine,
Palo.
Enjoy making memories at sea with Captains Minnie and Mickey! Bon Voyage!
