Hi everyone! We have booked a Disney Cruise from Galveston to Puerto Rico in January 2018. What should I expect the weather to be like? Will it be warm enough to swim in the pools?

    Hi Allyson!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks so much for sailing by with these questions! Your Disney Cruise sailing out of Galveston will be so wonderful! I love getting out of the cold Chicago winters and setting sail to paradise during the month of January!

You asked a great question about what the weather might be like during your voyage. The average temperature for January in Jamaica is right around 76 degrees. The average temperature in Puerto Rico during the month of January is 77 degrees. It might get chilly on deck during the evenings so I suggest bringing a light jacket or hoodie to wear.

I'm excited to share with you that Disney Cruise Line keeps the swimming pools onboard heated! The water is heated to at least 75 degrees so Guests can swim and splash comfortably. If you were looking for even warmer temperatures, take a seat in the whirlpool spa located in the adults-only Quiet Cove Pool. I'm becoming relaxed just thinking about it!

Allyson, I'm wishing you a cruise filled with sunny skies and splashtacular fun! If you have any more questions between now and January, please stop back and visit us again!
