Hi everyone..I was in WDW in 8/2009. I booked through Disney and stayed onsite, receiving the DDP for free. I remember that I received an email about 1 month before my trip with an offer to buy gift cards at basically half price. Is it still being offered?

That was a great deal, Lisa!  Unfortunately, I am not aware of any such offer currently available to guests.  Disney does publish promotional and discount offers on the SPECIAL OFFERS section of their website.  There is no mention of gift cards there.

The only discounted gift card offers I'm aware of have been through Sam's Club.  In the past, patrons of that chain have been able to purchase multiple gift cards for a slight discount, but nowhere near 50% off.  If you do happen to see that one again, I'd snap it up in a hurry because it's certainly not a common offer.

    I hope that helps.
