Hi there, Jeffrey! Welcome to planDisney. How exciting that you’re traveling all the way from Australia for your very first visit to Disneyland! October is such a fun time to visit, especially with all the spooktacular magic happening throughout the parks. Let’s take a look and see what’s in store for this ghoulish season ahead!
While tickets for
Oogie Boogie Bash can sell out, once a particular night reaches capacity, additional tickets aren’t typically released. I know this may not be the answer you were wishing for but don’t worry, there’s still plenty of Halloween fun to be had throughout the Disneyland Resort!
During your visit, you can experience the Halloween season throughout the parks, including festive décor,
seasonal treats, special entertainment, and plenty of spooky touches.
If you’ll be spending time at Disneyland, be sure to check out
Haunted Mansion Holiday, where the classic attraction gets a festive makeover inspired by The Nightmare Before Christmas. You can also keep an eye out for Halloween-themed merchandise and seasonal treats throughout the park. My favorite treats are the Mickey Skeleton gingerbread men at the dessert cart inside the
Grand Californian Hotel. I love how their sturdy packaging allows for gifting to friends and family in addition to snacking on the way to the parks!
Over at California Adventure, the Halloween spirit really comes to life in Cars Land, where the residents of Radiator Springs get into the Haul-O-Ween spirit with some wonderfully creative decorations and a ghastly twist on attractions. You can also experience
Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark, a special Halloween version of the attraction that is always a fun option for older kids and teens.
If your family is looking for even more Halloween atmosphere, Downtown Disney gets in on the fun with seasonal décor, treats, and entertainment. Join in on
Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit where you help Pluto track down 13 playful pumpkins, each inspired by a Disney character to redeem a special keepsake. You certainly won’t have to miss out on the Halloween spirit just because the party is sold out!
Jeffrey, I hope this helps you put together a spooktacular first visit to the parks! With two teenagers, I have a feeling you’ll have no trouble finding plenty of haunts, treats, and Halloween magic to keep everyone entertained. If you have any more questions or need recommendations until then, planDisney is here for you!
