Hey there, Bob!
Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is such a great place to stay, you are going to have a great time.
Bob, there are several ways you can unlock your resort room door at Disney's Coronado Springs. The first one is, of course, through the MyDisneyExperience app like you mentioned. Anyone wishing to use this method would need to have the app downloaded to their smartphones and be connected to the room via their MyDisneyExperience own account. Another way to unlock the door is with a MagicBand. If anyone staying in the room has a MagicBand that is linked to their account, all they would need to do is touch Mickey to Mickey and that will automatically unlock your room door as well. Lastly, you can always stop by the front desk in the lobby and have a Cast Member issue you a room key card. They will give you as many as you need and will open the door just like the other methods by touching the card to the Mickey on the door.
Hopefully, while you are staying at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, you've planned to spend at least one afternoon by the pool. The Lost City of Cibola Pool, the
main pool for the resort, is a lot of fun and so neat to look at. In the middle of the pool, you'll find a 50-foot Mayan-inspired pyramid and hidden inside a 123 foot-long waterslide! You will also find the largest hot tub on Walt Disney World property at this resort and I can attest that it is really relaxing after a long day at one of the Walt Disney World Theme Parks.
Siestas Cantina, the pool bar and grill, is a great place to grab a bite to eat while relaxing by the pool. The nachos are always my go-to but you can't go wrong with the pretzel bites either and everything tastes better when washing it down with a margarita!
Bob, I hope this helps you plan how to enter your room at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort when you visit later this month. If you have any other questions before you go, please feel free to come back and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Have fun!
