    Hi everyone! Planning a trip in January, staying at Wilderness Lodge (love it there!). We have a breakfast scheduled at 8:05 at the Crystal Palace on a day the park opens at 9. Are we going to be able to take the boat or a bus to be there in time? thx

    Hi Kimberly!

         I am with you because I love the Wilderness Lodge Resort as well!  I had the marvelous opportunity to stay there twice last year and I will stay there once this year!  Typically the buses or boats to the Magic Kingdom from the Wilderness Lodge begin transporting guests an hour before the park is scheduled to open on that particular day.  There are special early morning buses (character dinning buses) that run from each Resort to transport guests to the Magic Kingdom and the other Monorail Resorts that have character breakfasts (the bus makes multiple stops).  You will have to ask at guest services at Wilderness Lodge what time these special character dining bus will be running on the morning of your Crystal Palace Breakfast.  If these buses are not available early enough for you to get to your dining reservation, then you could take a taxi (typically cost under $20.00 including tip) from Wilderness Lodge to the Contemporary Resort and then walk to the Magic Kingdom. Taxis cannot drop guests off at the Magic Kingdom gates like the Disney Buses can.  The Taxi would have to drop you off at the Ticket and Transportation Center and then you would have to take a Monorail or Ferry Boat to the Magic Kingdom so that is why I recommend having the taxi drop you off at the Contemporary Resort.  Don't forget to bring your camera with you too because you can get great photos of you and your family in front of Cinderella Castle with no other people in the background of your picture!
