Hello, everyone. We are planning to take our five year old to Disney for his birthday, and we'd like to schedule a character dinner that includes Pluto--far and away his fave! Which restaurant(s), if any, usually feature Pluto?

    Hi Lorie:

There is not much more my four-year-old and my two-year-old look forward to more at Disney than character dining. While characters are always subject to change, your best chance of dining with Pluto will be at Chef Mickey's. My boys not only enjoy the huge buffet at Chef Mickey's, but their smiles shine when Pluto, Mickey, and friends stop by the table to pose for pictures and sign autographs. Pluto is a regularly scheduled character at Chef Mickey's, and my family enjoyed a Pluto visit every time we've dined there. We have also seen Pluto at 'Ohana's Best Friends Breakfast at the Polynesian and Garden Grill at Epcot.

If you also want to try to catch Pluto at the parks, stop by guest relations in each of the parks and ask if Pluto plans to visit the park that day. After looking at a list or after making a phone call, guest relations can let you know if, where, and when Pluto will be making an appearance in the park that day. While you are at guest relations, ask for a birthday button (and a "1st Visit" button if applicable) for your son. Many cast members will go out of their way to wish him "Happy Birthday" or greet him with a kind gesture to make his special visit more memorable.

    Enjoy your vacation.
