Hi Carolin!
Welcome to planDisney! As a mom of three, I've traveled to Walt Disney World Resort with my kids when they were as young as five months old through the oldest now being a tween. The excitement of a first trip is extra magical and I'm so thrilled to help you sprinkle a bit of pixie dust on your planning!
When I traveled with my boys as toddlers, hands down our favorite park to visit was Magic Kingdom Park. They ran down Main Street, U.S.A. with great big smiles toward Cinderella Castle, had breakfast with Winnie The Pooh and friends at
The Crystal Palace, danced along with the
Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade, and watched
Happily Ever After in awe. Here you'll also find the largest number of rides with no minimum height requirement. Some of our favorites were
Dumbo the Flying Elephant,
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh,
Under the Sea - Journey of the Little Mermaid,
"it's a small world," and
Jungle Cruise.
With so many toddler-friendly activities and attractions at the other parks, it may come down to thinking about what they'd be most excited to see. If you have an animal lover, they'll enjoy the many trails at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park as well as riding on
Kilimanjaro Safari to see animals roaming the open savanna. There are also great productions of
The Lion King and
Finding Nemo here. If you have a Disney Junior fan in the house, check out Disney's Hollywood Studios. There you'll find the Disney Junior Play n' Dine Breakfast at
Hollywood and Vine as well as the
Disney Junior Play and Dance! party.
Toy Story Land is another great place for little ones to feel immersed in the world of Andy's backyard and enjoy several rides. EPCOT is best for young explorers who want to go under the sea at
The Seas with Nemo and Friends or sail to Arendelle on
Frozen Ever After.
Carolin, I know that is A LOT to think about, but I hope it helps you start planning the perfect vacation for your family. If you have more questions or would like additional recommendations, please feel free to
write me back or ask another question to planDisney!
Cheers,
Kristi
