I love the countdown before my Disney cruise because it’s filled with so many exciting activities as I prep for it. One of those is getting our documents in order, including our travel insurance. I would be happy to explain more about the Disney Cruise Line Vacation Protection Plan.
The
Disney Cruise Line Vacation Protection Plan can only be purchased by United States and Canadian residents. I verified this information with Disney Cruise Line and was informed that this is indeed correct. This means that any guest who does not have a residential address in the United States or Canada cannot purchase it. This is for the coverage terms as outlined in the Disney Cruise Line Vacation Protection Plan. Unfortunately, based on those terms, guests who are not residents of the United States or Canada simply won’t be covered and thus are not able to purchase it.
If you have specific questions about the Disney Cruise Line Vacation Protection Plan, my recommendation is to
contact Disney Cruise Line who can get you in contact with the insurance company they use. They will be able to outline any specific coverage details. I've called them myself many times for our family's coverage details and to answer any specific questions I've had, and always found them to be super helpful and knowledgeable!
