Welcome onboard, Alisha!
“I can show you the world, shining, shimmering splendid!” Thanks what I’m singing just imagining your cruise with Captain Mickey to the Bahamas.
Castaway Cay is my absolute favorite destination, so you’ll be in a “whole new world” soaking up the sun on Disney’s private island in December.
So glad you rubbed the lamp to make sure you have the right travel documentation for your sailing. After all the “itty bitty living space” we’ve all had over the past year, it’s nice to imagine traveling outside the U.S. and visiting a different country, isn’t it?
Currently, a passport is not required for U.S. citizens sailing on Disney Cruise Line itineraries leaving from a U.S. port and returning to the same U.S. port. Your sailing to the Bahamas falls in this category. Even so, I still recommend that you check the
Passport and Travel Documentation link on Disney Cruise Line's website for the most up-to-date information on what the necessary documents are.
For your "magic carpet ride" to the
Bahamas, all Guests 16 and up will need to present an original or copy of their state-issued birth certificate AND a government-issued photo ID. Children 15 years of age or younger only need an original or copy of their state-issued birth certificate.
Iago is squawking at me right now to remind you to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. It’s the essential tool for checking showtimes, dinner menus, activities, character greetings, and so much more! This app is as precious as the lamp was to Aladdin in having his wishes answered!
You don’t have to travel all the way to Agrabah if you’d like more help with your cruise planning. Call on your Genies at planDisney and we will do our best to grant the answers to your questions. WISHing you a fabulous voyage!
