    Hi everyone. I am hoping someone can help me. I am going to be going to Disney in March (2011) with my husband and 8 year old son. This is not only my sons first time but mine as well. I am so overwhelmed by all the information im not sure where to start.

    Hi, Kailtiin! Oh, please don't be overwhelmed! I always tell my friends and family that planning a Walt Disney World (WDW) vacation (especially your first) should be almost as much as taking your trip! First of all, get your bearings.  Order the free planning DVD to get a great overview of the four theme parks, two water parks and dozens of resorts.  It sounds like you have an idea of when you would like to visit, but do you know for how long?  I always suggest at least five days so that you get a good taste of most of what WDW offers.

    The next thing you'll need to decide is where to stay. There are basically three price categories: Deluxe, Moderate and Value Resorts. Each one has its own advantages with various amenities, dining, recreation and convenience choices. You'll need to figure out if paying more for amenities and convenience is worth it to you and your vacation budget.

    For the busy time of year you're considering, I would recommend Magic Your Way tickets with Park Hopper Options so that you can come and go to multiple parks within a day.  It helps to plan your days so that you can be at one park which may offer an early morning for resort guests (Extra Magic Hours) and then skip over to another park when the crowds get to be too much.

    Hopefully, this will point you in the right direction.  Take another look around the website and familiarize yourself with the resort choices and ticket options.
