HI Everyone, I am helping a friend plan a trip next year. I was wondering if anyone knew if in the past has free dining ever been offered for the campsites?

Hi Tara! This is a great question but also one that is hard to answer. We are frequent guests at the Fort Wilderness campsites and we have never used the Free Dining offers. But when making the reservations at different times of the year we have found that they will sometimes offer it to the tent sites but not the premium and preferred loops. At other times Free Dining was not offered to anyone in the campsite loops of any kind.

Disney's decisions seem to change about this with the campsites all the time so it is impossible to know what they will offer at any time of the year. It would be difficult to give any guest advice about the dining and would probably veer them away from thinking it will be available. If the campsites are included in the next Free Dining offer it would then be a surprise piece of pixie dust for them!

Let your friend know that Fort Wilderness does have a great dining opportunity within the resort called Trails End restaurant. They offer a great breakfast and dinner buffets and a menu selection lunch every day. Fort Wilderness is also home to the best dinner show on property called Hoop Dee Doo as well as a fun Mickey's Backyard Barbecue at various times of the year.  There is a small selection of take-out options from the Trails End restaurant as well.
