Hi Jennifer!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Wahoo! You are going on your FIRST Disney Cruise Line vacation. Your Disney Cruise will be filled with fun, adventure, nonstop activities, incredible entertainment and so much food!
Disney Cruise Line has life vests available on the pool deck for use while onboard. And if you happen to be visiting Disney’s private island,
Castaway Cay, there are life vests available for use there too. Guests are asked to not remove the life vests from the ship, but if you are scheduled for a Port Adventure excursion and life vests are needed, they will be provided for your use when off the ship. On previous voyages, we have brought puddle jumpers for our littles because they were more comfortable in those, but looking back, I would have preferred the extra room in my suitcase for souvenEARs! But, if your littles are more comfortable in their own life vests or puddle jumper, or you will be on a private excursion where you may need them, you may want to bring them with you. Be advised that if you have any not-yet potty-trained littles, they will not be permitted to use the
onboard pools but can certainly enjoy and splash around the onboard splash pad areas.
If you haven’t yet registered your Mouseketeers for the onboard
Youth Clubs, do so before embarkation and if you have any under three who will be visiting the onboard nursery, you will want to make reservations ahead of time. Use the time away from the littles to explore the adult-exclusive spaces (my favorite being the Quiet Cove pool).
Wishing you a magical and memorable adventure at sea!
Stephanie
