Hi everyone, my family are planning to go to Disneyland for my 6 yr old girl's birthday. This will be our first time to travel as a family. Can you give us tips on what to do and where to go to celebrate her birthday? I would appreciate your help. Thanks.

    Hey there Faye,

I can't think of a more magical way to celebrate your daughter's birthday than a visit to Disneyland, The Happiest Place on Earth!  My daughter will also turn six this year and you can bet that we'll be returning to Disneyland to celebrate this milestone occasion!

In my opinion, a character meal is the perfect way to surprise your guest of honor, and you can even order a customized birthday cake to take the wow factor to the next level! Custom cakes can be delivered to any full service restaurant on property and can be ordered by calling (714) 781-3463.  Standard celebration cakes are readily available at select locations around the parks and guests can choose from a variety of themes, colors, and flavors without advanced ordering!  My daughter fell in love with the "My Mini Cake Surprise" last year and hasn't stopped talking about it!  This magical little cake is served inside of a Princess themed jewelry box or a Pirate treasure chest and is also available at most table service locations and character meals.

Speaking of character meals, If your little one is a fan of the princesses, then I highly recommend selecting Ariel's Grotto in Disney California Adventure Park as your celebration venue since Ariel and the Disney Princesses parade around to each table to greet the guests!  Another fun location is the Plaza Inn, located in Disneyland Park where Mr. Pat E Cake leads the fun in a magical Disney celebration unlike any other!

Be sure to stop by City Hall to pick up your personalized "It's My Birthday Button" which will ensure lots of birthday wishes for your princess, and perhaps consider a royal makeover at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique!  For more information on these suggestions, visit the Disneyland Birthdays website!

    Best Wishes,
