Hi everyone! My daughter, husband and I are going to Disney World on Sept 15. We bought quick service dining and we are staying for 4 days will $500 be good enough to walk with or should I walk with more but we booked reservation at Bongo Cuban Cafe for 3

    Hi Lisa!

It will primarily depend on what all you plan to spend your money on when you get there. The Bongo's Cuban Cafe' (a nice experience, by the way) varies considerably in cost based on what you choose to eat. The lesser priced chicken or pork entree (approx. $18-$22 per plate) or the higher priced seafood ($20-$40 per plate)? Is your daughter 9 or less, or older? 9 or less can get the children's menu (i.e. pizza at around $8 or $9). Or will she get an adult meal? If you make it a full meal experience: appetizer, entree, dessert, and drinks, then $80-$90 is a possible total once you factor in tax and tip.

Aside from Bongo's, Disney souvenirs can get up there in price. If you plan not to purchase any high-dollar items, then you can do it with $500. I would put $80 to the side for Bongo's, leaving $420, and try to set a $100 discretionary spending per day budget.

$500 is definitely do-able with discipline. If you like to splurge a little, however, take an extra $200 :-)

And have the Time of Your Lives!
