Hello everyone! We will be arriving 5/16. Our flight lands at 10:30 AM. We are taking Magical Express to the Polynesian. Do you think we could make a lunch reservation for 1:30? I am shooting for the Grand Floridian because of the timing. Thanks!

    Hi Sandra!
Congratulations on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World and you are staying at one of the best Resorts in Walt Disney World, the Polynesian!  Your plan sounds like it will work just fine. I normally leave about 2 hours in my schedule to get from the Orlando Airport to the Walt Disney World Resort that I am staying at when I am using Disney's Magical Express. Sometimes the Magical Express can get you to your Resort in about 1 hour, but it pays to put a time buffer in your plans.  Then leave about 30 minutes to check into your room at the Polynesian and freshen up. So this puts you at about 1:00 pm and gives you 30 minutes to get to the Grand Floridian for your 1:30 pm lunch reservation.  You can hop on the Monorail and the Grand Floridian is the next stop after you board the Polynesian.

Since you are staying at such a great Resort with an incredible Table Service restaurant called Kona Cafe right in the main building, I would recommend that after you check in that you stay at the Polynesian and eat lunch at the Kona Cafe.  The Kona Cafe is one of my most favorite restaurants in all of Walt Disney World!

I hope that all of your journeys to Walt Disney World are magical!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
