Hi Everyone! Does anyone have any recommendations for stops along the way from Kentucky to Disney World. We are driving with our two boys 15 and 10 and I want to make the drive as interesting as possible. Any ideas would be great. Thanks

Hi Alissa!  I am also from Kentucky and have two boys, ages 8 and 11.  We have driven to Orlando a few times.  I am not sure which part of Kentucky you will be driving from.  We live in the Western part of the state, so our trip takes us through Nashville, Chattanooga, and Atlanta on the way there.
We have stopped in Nashville to take in the Opryland Resort and Opry Mills mall. We love the Bass Pro Shop.  Outside of Chattanooga, there is an awesome place called "Rock City" (www.seerockcity.com).  There are gorgeous mountain views and waterfalls!  And of course, in Atlanta, there is a ton to do!  Our favorites are the World of Coke museum, the Georgia Aquarium, and also just running around in Centennial Park. The park was built for the 1996 Olympic Games, so there are a lot of cool "Olympic" details in it.  All three of those are right next to each other in downtown Atlanta.
If you go through Knoxville instead of Nashville, you could swing through town to visit Neyland Stadium, where the University of Tennessee plays football.  (If you are like me, and a die-hard Cat fan, this may be hard to stomach, but I have done the actual tour and the stadium is truly magnificent and something that every sports fan should see!)  Also, it's always fun to visit college towns.  Especially since you have one son that is getting closer to college age.  In keeping with the college town theme, you will also be going through Gainesville, Florida.  Home of the University of Florida and where my sons' football hero, Tim Tebow, played his college ball.
And of course, the highlight of the entire trip will be when you drive through the Walt Disney World gates!  No matter how many times I go, I always get teary eyed when passing through them for the first time on my visits!
Please let me know if you have any other questions about your trip!  Have a magical vacation!!!
