Hello Jessica. Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question!
I think you'll be happy to know that children under the age of 3 can dine for free at Walt Disney World! Isn't that amazing? I like to think of it as a personal gift from Mickey Mouse. So here's how it works. When you choose to dine at all-you-can-enjoy restaurants, like
Minnie's Seasonal Dining at Hollywood & Vine, you are able to feed your child off of the buffet for free. You can make him or her as many plates as their little heart desires. When you are dining at restaurants where you select 1 entree off of a menu, your child is able to eat food from anyone's plate that you wish. If, at those style restaurants, you would like to order your child their own meal only then would you need to pay. Enjoy this freebie while it lasts because soon enough your child will be considered an adult when dining, like mine is now, and will want to order the most expensive menu item!
If you haven't already seen this, I suggest checking out the
Preschoolers Guide to visiting Walt Disney World. It's a really comprehensive guide that breaks down what might be appropriate for your little one park by park. Did you know there are over 80 great attractions that you'll all be able to enjoy as a family at Walt Disney World? Before reading the guide, I sure didn't. There's even a fun Disney Junior Playlist that you can listen to to help get your kiddo excited for the trip. The guide also talks about
renting strollers,
baby care centers, the
Rider Switch program and so much more. I highly recommend
downloading the guide before your vacation.
I hope this helps answer your question. If you have any other questions I'd love for you to come back and ask me.
