Ahoy Kristen!
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I love how you are doing some long-range planning and turning your Disney FANTASY into a reality! It’s truly one of the most spectacular ships at sea...but then again, I would say that about ALL the ships in Captain Mickey's fleet!
My family chose our Spring Break cruise on the
Disney Fantasy a few years ago based on dates that matched our school break, but we were happy it meant getting to experience a
Star Wars Day at Sea. And yes, there are tons of immersive activities during those sailings that really play up the Jedi and Dark Side theming. From character greetings with Darth Vader and Stormtroopers on the pool deck to a "Summon the Force" deck party and Star Wars themed dinner menus, fans will be thrilled at all the opportunities onboard.
But since that does not sound like your cup of tea, what you can do is select a Disney Cruise Line itinerary that really floats your boat (pun intended) AND stays out of the Star Wars galaxy. Although these 2022 itineraries have not yet launched, I can tell you what I do know from past experience: Star Wars Day at Sea sailings have traditionally been in the early part of the year (January to March).
Since you are planning a June voyage, it is unlikely that cruise will include a Star Wars Day at Sea. But even if it did, rest assured that there are plenty of non-Star Wars activities to be found on the ship! From Bingo, trivia contests, karaoke,
Beverage Tastings, ship tours, and cooking classes to fitness classes,
spa treatments, and poolside activities, there is truly something for everyone happening onboard. To manage all that fun and keep tabs on where to be and when, download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app.
Kristen, chart a course for the Disney Parks Moms Panel as you continue making your cruise plans. Those are waters we are always happy to navigate with you!
SEA ya real soon!
