Does every member of party have to have a military ID to get on and off property and ride buses?

Hi Ronald, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Eligible U.S. military personnel have access to some fantastic Special Offers when visiting Walt Disney World Resort. For 2019, eligible service members can take advantage of discounted rooms at select resort hotels, discounted theme park tickets, and even a discount on Memory Maker. My military family is so grateful for these discounts – it feels great to be appreciated, and there's no place we'd rather spend our precious together time. We're still waiting to see if these wonderful discounts will be renewed for 2020, but I've got my fingers and toes crossed that more pixie dust comes our way!

Ronald, when taking advantage of military special offers, the eligible military member is required to show valid military ID to activate theme park tickets, check in to discounted resort rooms, or purchase discounted Memory Maker. We have not been asked to show military ID when boarding Walt Disney World Resort transportation or entering our resort; when you stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you receive a MagicBand, which is a bracelet-style band that carries your Guest information, can unlock your resort room’s door, and allows you to enter the theme parks and use FastPass+.

I think you may be asking about Shades of Green Resort, which is a military-only resort located on Walt Disney World Resort property. This resort has different eligibility requirements, and Guests staying there do have different ID requirements for entering the resort's property and boarding transportation. I want to be sure you get the most up-do-date information about Shades of Green's ID policies, so please contact them at (407) 824-1403. Their website is also filled with great information to help you plan a stay.

Have so much fun planning your visit, Ronald. Please come back and see us if we can help as you continue planning and Disney dreaming. It's always a pleasure to help a fellow military family!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
