Is every guest in the reservation for table service restaurants required to order?

    Hi, Cathy!

The answer to your question is a definite "it depends!" If you are at a dinner show, buffet, family style dining, character dining, or any type of "all you care to eat" location, then each guest will be charged for a meal. However, if you are at a regular a la carte table service location, then each guest does not have to purchase a meal.

Regardless of what is ordered, if your party consists of 6 or more guests seated at your table, an automatic 18% gratuity will be added to your bill.

I hope that everyone in your party decides to enjoy a meal together. It certainly does not sound like much fun to watch others indulge in all the great entrees, drinks, and desserts without jumping in on the party!

Have a great stay in Walt Disney World!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
