Hi there Linda, welcome to planDisney, we're so glad you're here!
How exciting that you're planning a trip to the "Happiest Place on Earth" so soon, it's time to start counting down the days! There is currently not a specific discount for Canadian residents, but you may want to explore the
offers & discounts page to see if there are any current offers that would apply to you.
Another recommendation comes from my fellow panelist Courtney, I would definitely read her
great answer about purchasing Disney Gift Cards to help pay for expenses during your trip including
theme park tickets, your hotel stay, dining, and merchandise. The
Disney Gift Card is initially issued in Canadian dollars, and then after the first payment transaction, the day's exchange rate is applied to the remaining gift card funds and it is locked in as US dollars. The conversion fees will not be applied each transaction as it would if you used a credit card. This could be a great option for you!
I also find that one of our largest expenses during our trips are meals and snacks. With a bit of pre-planning, I always make sure we have a portable breakfast each morning such as a granola bar or bagels, as well as snacks to tide us over throughout the day. I pack resealable plastic bags with me, and then we can bring food with us into the parks each day to help save on costs. We also bring in reusable water bottles to use throughout the day and fill up when needed, which is another way to save money throughout your trip.
I hope this information is helpful for your upcoming trip, Linda! If we can help with any other questions, please do not hesitate to
come back and ask.
Have a magical day!
Melissa
