Yo ho, Johnna!
I am so excited to SEA that you have an upcoming Disney cruise planned. Your crew must be so excited! Get ready for
all the magic that’s included on your sailing.
Great question about how a family of 5 can stay comfortably in a single stateroom! I have stayed in this size stateroom when my girlfriends and I cruised together. Although we had 4 adults in our stateroom, the only difference is that we passed on using the dropdown bunk bed that the stateroom host pulls out in the evenings. Additionally, the sofa converts to a bed and a trundle bed can be lowered from the wall. Both provide a very comfortable night’s sleep...but then again, I always sleep like a baby when I cruise due to active days and the gentle motion of the ship.
While you could easily make a
Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom work for your crew, it might depend on the ages of your kids and how much time you anticipate spending in your stateroom. As my kids have grown into teenagers, I’ve found the stateroom seems smaller than it really is once they take over with all their stuff! You may want to price two staterooms in a different category because in certain circumstances, that combination could actually cost less than a single, higher category stateroom.
Once you’ve all settled on the stateroom you desire, settle in onboard with all the amazing activities and entertainment. Keep tabs of all the fun with the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. You can even set reminders on the app about activities you don’t want to miss.
Johnna, the Fab 5 (Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto) cannot wait to welcome your party of 5 onboard when you sail. Wishing you all the best on your adventures at sea!
Happy Sailing!
