Have you ever stayed at the Port Orleans Riverside Resort. I read that its hard to get around this resort. and transportation is a long wait?

    Hi Tracy,

Port Orleans Riverside is our home away from home since it is a moderate resort that accommodates a family a 5, and we do truly love our stays there.  But yes, it is a large resort with over 2,000 rooms, so it guests can end up in a building that is some distance from the main area.  The good news is that there are several pools throughout the resort, so one is usually not too far.  We do try to request buildings 14, 15, and 18 when we make our reservations since they are close to the main part of the resort (largest pool, restaurants, and bus stops).

And the same goes for bus stops; they are all throughout the resort.  I don't think the wait for bus transportation was much different from other resorts; sometimes it is a short wait and other times longer than we'd like.  What probably is trickiest is leaving the parks at night when everyone is heading home; even with many buses running, we sometimes have to wait for the next bus to get everyone on board.
