Have you ever stayed in a Deluxe Studio? Is there any real difference between that and a standard room? Thanks

    Hi Bob,

The room category of deluxe studio is a Disney Vacation Club category.  The reason that you may see that some of Walt Disney World's resorts have both a standard room category and a deluxe studio room category is that there are some resorts with both a traditional resort component as well as a Disney Vacation Club component.  These are Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney's Beach Club, Disney's BoardWalk Inn, and Disney's Wilderness Lodge.  These resorts would show both a standard room category (in the traditional resort component of the resort) as well as a deluxe studio category (in the Disney Vacation Club component of the resort).

I feel that the main difference in a standard room and the deluxe studio is that a deluxe studio has a kitchenette which includes items such as a microwave, small refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, and paper products such as plates.  Deluxe studios are spacious and typically include a queen bed plus a sleeper sofa which pulls out into a double bed, whereas standard rooms typically offer two beds.

If you are a Disney Vacation Club member, you can book deluxe studio accommodations using either points or traditional payment methods by calling member services at 1-800-800-9800.  If you are not a Disney Vacation Club member, you can still book deluxe studio accommodations using traditional payment methods by calling Walt Disney World's reservation line at 407- W-DISNEY (407-934-7639).

Whatever you chose, I'm sure you'll have a wonderful vacation.  Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.
