Have you ever made big changes to a trip after booking? I booked far in advance but may need to cancel for reasons not covered by insurance. I want to change the date of trip, not ask for a refund. Is Disney accommodating in making changes to reservations?

    Hi Jonas,

Hey, you're not one of the Jonas brothers....are you???? (ha-ha) that would be so cool!  Anyhoo, to answer your question, I would be better off to provide you with a link to the Frequently asked questions for the cancelation policy at Walt Disney World.  This is such a vast subject with many options and special circumstances that it would be impossible for me to steer you in the right direction, and I wouldn't want to give information that may be incorrect.  Basically this link really only gives the most popular questions that guests seem to have and simple answers, most of which ask you to call them directly.  I do know that they are accommodating with changing your reservations and also cancelations (in my prior cases!), but there is a time period in order to do this and a penalty for cancelations closer to your date of arrival.  If you need specific details for your particular room, package or ticket reservations, I suggest you call Guest Information at (407) 939-6244, and talk to a Disney Reservation Agent.   I am sure they can answer most of the questions you have.  I hope this helps you, and I am sure that if I know Disney, they will try to do the utmost to accommodate!

    Have a magical day!
