We are going on our 1st ever Disney Cruise on the Dream in August. The only night we were able to get reservations at Palo is the same night as the Pirate Night. Will we still be able to get the kids to experience the pirate party after our dinner?

    Hi Lisa!

Congratulations on your first Disney cruise!  On the Dream no less....great choice!  It's a gorgeous ship, and you'll be amazed at how much there is to see and do onboard.  You'll be spoiled, no doubt about it...the service is unprecedented.

I absolutely ADORE Palo!  I'm so glad that you were able to score a reservation there.  It's amazing!  Please order the chocolate souffle for dessert, and the panna cotta (my mouth is watering).  A Palo dinner can typically take about two hours so if you booked a reservation no later than 6:30 you should be able to catch the beginning of the Pirate Night show that night.  It's cute, but the real show stopper are the fireworks that start at about 9:30pm.  That you can't miss....of course, times are always subject to change so please check your Personal Navigator, Disney Cruise Line's daily newsletter, for actual times.

You can always call Palo when you arrive and see if they can change your reservation.  They will certainly try to accommodate you.  I hope this helps Lisa.  Have a magical trip!

Magic Kingdom still takes my breath away, but my favorite place to be is on a Disney ship looking at the horizon and breathing in that crisp, clean ocean air!  I love planning Disney vacations for others and making sure it's more than they dreamed. Learn More About Marisol
