Ahoy, Dina!
Welcome to planDisney, we're so happy you're here! Searching for a new
Disney Cruise Line itinerary is one of my favorite things...I'm happy to have you join my new cruise dreams!
Did you know that there have actually been Disney Cruise Line sailings from New York that included stops in Port Canaveral? They haven't happened recently, but there have been a couple of years in the past that featured these extra-magical sailings. Naturally, the Port Adventures in Florida included
Walt Disney World! Looking at the
current New York itineraries it seems we may have to wait a little while for Port Canaveral to reappear on the horizon. But I'm crossing my fingers that it will be an option again someday soon!
While we wait for Captain Mickey to chart a course for Florida, I would recommend that you keep an eye on the
Special Offers page! You never know when a cruise close to home might have an amazing deal. There's also lots of great Disney Cruise Line content on the
Disney Parks Blog, including news and announcements. If there are new or returning itineraries sailing our way then the blog is where we will hear all about them!
Although you can't sail from New York to Florida at the moment I do love to combine "land and sea" when we visit the Walt Disney World Resort! You might consider spending a few days enjoying the theme parks (one day just isn't enough, in my opinion!) before boarding a Disney Cruise Line ship for a cruise out of Port Canaveral. Many cruises from this departure port stop at my favorite place at sea:
Disney Castaway Cay!
I'll be adding my own pixie dust to your NYC-cruising wish, Dina! Keep a weather eye open for news and please visit us here at
planDisney again if you have questions about planning your next Disney adventure!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
