Bonjour Arlene!
I'm so glad you've chosen to
be our guest at
planDisney. Like Lumiere and his flatware friends, we're at your service!
As a fellow fan of
Beauty and the Beast, I'm always looking for theme park experiences inspired by one of my favorite Disney films. While there are no current plans to reboot the
Disneyland Park version of the musical stage show that ended its run several decades ago, I'm happy to suggest a few other locations where you can see your enchanted friends from
Beauty and the Beast.
For a fun retelling of the tale as old as time, stop by
Storytelling at Royal Theatre in Fantasyland. Belle and Rapunzel take turns appearing here; check the
Disneyland mobile app for showtimes and ask a Cast Member which story and princess will be featured at each show. When my family and I were in Disneyland Park a couple of months ago, we saw
Beauty and the Beast in the morning and
Tangled in the afternoon.
If it's been many years since your last visit to Disneyland Park, you might notice something there that wasn't there before. In Fantasyland,
Red Rose Taverne, a
Beauty and the Beast-themed eatery, replaced Village Haus Restaurant in 2017. Stop in for a culinary cabaret of French-inspired fare and decorative touches from the film. Try the grey stuff - it really is delicious!
For more enchanted fun, pop into the Disney Animation Building in
Disney California Adventure Park and stroll through The Beast's Library. After, check the schedule for the
Animation Academy. On a recent trip, Guests could learn to draw Lumiere during one session. Cross your candlesticks that a character from
Beauty and the Beast is included in a lesson during your visit!
I hope I've helped you discover some opportunities to experience
Beauty and the Beast in
Disneyland Resort, Arlene. Stay tuned to the
Disney Parks Blog for announcements regarding all future projects, and best wishes for a wonderful adventure in the great wide somewhere!
