Welcome back to planDisney, Amy!
We're happy to be hearing from you again! I hope your trip last year was magical -- and I'm sure that you're looking forward to returning to the magic this summer! Remember to bring an umbrella, rain jacket, or rain poncho as we typically have afternoon rain showers in the summer, and you don't want to be drenched for the rest of your day! I also like having extra all-rubber shoes in my bag that I can put on during/after the rain... because I hate wet shoes and socks so much!
During EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival (which runs until June 2nd) there are some incredible concerts happening! In June specifically, the
Garden Rocks Concert Series will be hosting We the Kingdom. They will be performing on the 1st and 2nd of June. You can also experience all of the Outdoor Kitchens, Gardens and Topiaries, the Butterfly Pavillion, and so much more until the festival ends.
EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival will be the next large celebration happening at EPCOT and usually begins at the end of August. Usually the summertime (most of June, July, and most of August) are the break between Flower and Garden and Food and Wine, but EPCOT is still bustling with activities!
There's lots to do even when special events are not happening at EPCOT. I'll list a few of my favorites that my little family likes to spend extra time at during non-festival seasons:
-
Kidcot Fun Stops at each of the country's Pavilions
-Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along in the France Pavilion
-
Journey of Water (Pro Tip: Bring a swimming suit or a change of clothes for kiddos)
-Club Cool next to the Creations shop (taste sodas from around the world for free)
-
Luminous The Symphony of UsYou can watch the EPCOT page on the Disney World website and the
Disney Parks Blog for more updates as you near your summer vacation, Amy, as you never know what exciting extras will be added before your trip. If you have additional questions, you know where to find us! We always enjoy hearing from you.
See ya real soon,
Allyn
