for evening extra magic hours, if people don't have to leave then reenter, how is it less crowded for the rides? Also, is Disney transport still running after late extra magic hours?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Paula ~

I love the perks of staying at one of the awesome Disney World Resort hotels and being able to take advantage of Extra Magic Hours (EMHs) is one of my favorites. Once evening EMHs begin, Guests staying at a Disney World Resort Hotel will need to present a valid theme park ticket and a Resort ID to enter the park offering evening EMHs. If you are using a MagicBand, you can enter the park using that.  Cast Members will ask Guests to present their Resort IDs in order to enter lines for attractions. MagicBands can be presented as well. Non-Resort Guests will be asked to make their way to the exit of the park.

There is no guarantee that EMHs will always be less crowded.  The Disney World Resort is home to thousands of hotel Guests each evening and if they all decide to take advantage of EMHs, the lines can still be a bit crowded.  This is especially true of really popular attractions like Toy Story Midway Mania!  For the most part, we've always had a great time during evening EMHs.

Disney transportation will continue to run at least an hour after EMHs end.  If for any reason you ever find yourself stranded, see a Cast Member at the park exit and they will assist you.

Please feel free to visit again with all of your planning questions. We'll be hEAR for you up until you embark on your pixie dusted trail!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
