    Even though the new magic bands came out, can i still use my old ones?

    Hey, Diana!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am so glad you asked this question because many of us have MagicBands that we love. Some with special graphics and others that "surprise and delight" with sounds and special colors at the theme park touch points. 

    As long as your MagicBand is linked to your Disney account through My Disney Experience it will continue to work. So keep wearing those fantastic MagicBands covered with your favorite characters or designed to match your best Disney Parks outfit.

    Disney Dad Tip: The typical lifespan of a MagicBand is 24 months. After that they may not work anymore. I suggest keeping a log of the dates of each MagicBand so you know when 24 months is up.
