Hi Tammy,
Welcome to planDisney! I am excited to hEAR that you are planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.
The happy answer is yes! Dining locations are open in
Disney Resorts Collection hotels. Check the
dining updates to see which dining locations are open at each resort. On our most recent visit in September, we were able to use
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering to order from the Quick-Service restaurant at our resort hotel. We also made several
advanced dining reservations prior to our visit.
While not all dining locations are open, many are and we never had difficulty finding something to eat. I do urge you to make advanced dining reservations, however. Having a few is nice because you know that you have a few guaranteed times to dine. With Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering, I suggest that you check the arrival time windows at least an hour before you want to dine. Some restaurants may get busy quickly and you may not be able to place your order and pick it up in 15 minutes.
Having said this, we do always bring a few snacks with us. So, I would still encourage you to bring some just in case. It also may be easier to just eat a quick snack before you go and then plan for an early lunch in the parks. My family likes to eat, so we generally do a full breakfast.
Tammy, I hope this helps. Make note of your
dining reservation window. Currently, it is 60-days prior to arrival. I am always up by 5:45 a.m. on dining reservation day. If a restaurant is not available when your reservation window opens, keep checking. Cancelations do happen!
Happy planning!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
