Even though the basic plan does not include appetizers and gratuity all of the info I have printed out on the Deluxe Dining Plan seems to include both of these items Does anyone know for sure? Thank you!

    Hi there Amy,

The Dining Plan seems to get more and more confusing the more you look at it!  You are right about the "Basic" plan not including an appetizer anymore, and that the "Deluxe" does include your appetizer, but neither of them include gratuities, yet there are a few exceptions to the rule here.  Gratuities will be included at Cinderella's Royal Table, the Dinner Shows (Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show, Mickey's Backyard BBQ (which is seasonal) and The Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue).  You can also use in-room dining in many of the Resort hotels with two table service credits and gratuities are also included here.  Some "Grand Gathering Exclusive experiences" will also be exempt from gratuities, just in case you happen to be a large party!!!  I hope I have helped you out a little and if you have any further questions, you can either submit them to us here at the Moms Panel or you can call: (407)-WDW-DINE to speak with a cast member for more detailed information.

    Have a magical day!
