Hi there, Julia!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.
As part of Walt Disney World Resort's phased reopening as they
Return to a World of Magic, Guests visiting Walt Disney World's four theme parks are now required to make a
Disney Park Pass reservation for the park they would like to visit on a specific date. With carefully considered guidance from health authorities, theme park capacity continues to be limited at this time, and Disney Park Pass reservations are a way to manage park attendance each day. As gradual adjustments are continually being made for the safety of Cast Members and Guests, Walt Disney World is transitioning to include more of the magic we all know and love!
With a
Disney Park Pass reservation and a valid
theme park ticket for the same park on the same date, Guests can choose to enjoy all the magic of any of Walt Disney World Resort's four amazing theme parks! To check availability for a certain date, simply find the dates you're considering on the
Theme Park Availability Calendar before purchasing your theme park tickets. Once you've secured valid admission and a Disney Park Pass reservation for a specific date, you can come and go from that particular park as often you like on your reserved day. Your reservation guarantees you admission for the duration of that day's operating hours.
If you'd like to visit more than one park on a particular day, you can consider adding the
Park Hopper Option to your park ticket to add even more fun and magic to your Walt Disney World vacation! I always recommend Park Hopper tickets to maximize your days, and maximize the FUN. At this time, there are a few guidelines Guests will need to follow when using a Park Hopper ticket. Guests will need to have a Disney Park Pass reservation to enter the first park they'd like to visit. The Guest must physically enter that park by scanning a
MagicBand, theme park ticket, or using
Disney's MagicMobile service at the point of entry, before hopping to a second (or third, or fourth!) theme park after 2pm. The ability to "hop" to another park is always subject to that park's capacity limitations. (I've been to Walt Disney World numerous times since Park Hopping was reintroduced, and so far have had no issues with park capacity limitations affecting us being able to visit other parks.)
I hope this helps with your planning! Please come back and visit us here at planDisney for tips and advice to help add a bit of extra magic to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
