Hello there, Laura! Welcome to planDisney. Thank you for cruising to us with your question as you prepare for a dreamy European Disney Cruise!
Your itinerary is going to be fantastic, with so many incredible ports of call and places to explore! I understand why you are wondering about what to do when you visit Rome. We sailed as a family last year to Europe and had to make decisions about what Port Adventures would best suit our sailing crew. I do not advise that you leave your child in
Disney's Oceaneer Club or
Lab for an extended length of time while you are not on the ship. These youth spaces onboard do not serve meals or snacks.
Instead, I recommend that you look through the
Port Adventures offered for Civitavecchia, Italy, and consider an outing that would be suitable for your daughter to take part in. If your heart is set on your original plans, you can help your daughter prepare for the walking that will be required in the weeks leading up to your sailing. My family started taking short evening walks and then some longer walks and gentle hikes on the weekends as we prepared for our European adventure. It turned out to be very helpful to improve our walking stamina. We also found gelato to be a great reward for those miles walked and museums toured!
Laura, I can't wait for your family to make memories onboard the
Disney Dream. It won't be long till your adventure begins! Please sail to planDisney again if you have any further questions. My pals and I would love to help.
Bon Voyage,
Adrianna
