It’s an exciting time at
Disney California Adventure Park, and there’s plenty of buzz about what’s coming next for
Avengers Campus! While the Disneyland Resort hasn’t announced an opening year just yet, construction is officially underway. That alone is a great sign that the next heroic chapter is starting to take shape.
And what a chapter it will be! The Avengers Campus expansion will bring two brand-new attractions for recruits of all power levels:
• Avengers Infinity Defense — an all-new adventure through multiple worlds as you team up to stop King Thanos. This one looks like it will take you from Asgard to Wakanda to the streets of New York in one action-packed mission.
• Stark Flight Lab — a high-energy test experience inside two-person pods, complete with simulated flight maneuvers courtesy of a robot arm…and the guidance of Mr. Tony Stark, of course. (I’m most excited for this one!)
Since work has launched into full gear, there are a few temporary changes at Disney California Adventure Park that you should know about. The walkway between Avengers Campus and Cars Land is currently closed, but both areas remain accessible through alternate routes. Fred, I know it’s hard to wait when the excitement is building, but the good news is that progress is happening behind the construction walls every day. As soon as an opening timeline is announced, it will be shared on the
Disneyland website and the
Disney Parks Blog—two great places to keep an eye on as this epic expansion unfolds.
In the meantime, there’s already plenty of heroic fun to experience in Avengers Campus right now. You can train right alongside Earth’s Mightiest Heroes—from watching Spider-Man soar above the rooftops to joining the battle on
WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure. You might cross paths with Black Panther, Captain America, Captain Marvel, or even members of the Dora Milaje as they appear throughout the day. And of course, no visit is complete without sampling some creative bites from the
Pym Test Kitchen or grabbing a refreshing beverage from the
Pym Tasting Lab. Even as the campus grows, there’s more than enough action-packed adventure to enjoy today.
