How much should I estimate for tips when we have reservations for Hollywood and vine, o'hana, the castle, tepan edo, tucker house and the be our guest restaurant?

    Hello, Julie!

I like the way you plan! You have a few of my favorite Walt Disney World Resort restaurants on your list! While tipping is at your discretion, the standard is 18-20% of the total cost of your Table-Service meal. My rule of thumb when I budget for tips is to plan to leave 18% gratuity; however, I add in extra because we always encounter servers who are exceptionally magical. If you are dining with a party of 6 or more, then you can expect an automatic gratuity of 18% will be added to your bill. Some dining experiences, such as Cinderella's Royal Table, include the gratuity in the prepaid cost of the meal. You are welcome to leave an additional tip if you are inclined with cash, credit card, or if you are staying at a Disney hotel, charge to your room using a MagicBand.

As you continue to plan, you may find these gratuity guidelines helpful that my fellow Moms Panelist Cathy recently offered to another Guest. Please visit us again should you have additional questions. We are hEAR to help!

    Happy Planning!
