Hello, Cheri, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for dropping by with your question.
Before we jump into your question, I wanted to let you know that you can utilize the
complimentary transportation that takes you around the Walt Disney World resort if you'd like. Buses, monorails, boats and even the Disney Skyliner connect the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels to the
Walt Disney World Theme Parks. Then, if you are park hopping, you can also use the complimentary park-to-park bus transportation that is currently being provided. Since
park hopping now starts at 2:00 p.m. you can find the park-to-park busses running around this time as well.
However, I know some people aren't always a big fan of the complimentary transportation at Walt Disney World and that's okay too! There are other options out there like utilizing ride-share services. I will admit that when I am in a hurry or traveling with friends, I oftentimes will use a ride-share because it is quick, convenient and pretty affordable. To get an idea of what to budget for your rides, you can actually just open up either app and type in your starting location and the destination. It will calculate the route and give you a price quote. Just for fun, I opened up one of my apps and typed my starting location as Disney's Contemporary Resort and my destination as Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Right now, the current fare was around $8.00. I find that most places I've gone, looking through my ride history, is anywhere from $7.00-$15.00 depending on the destination and time of day. Sometimes, one of the ride-share services will be running a promotion of giving out a discount so I do always check both major companies before calling a car.
I hope this helps, Cheri. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm happy to help. Have a great day and happy planning!
