Hi I have an ESA (Emotional Service) dog, that I want to bring with me. Is this okay? I am staying at the All-Star Sports Resort. Also, if I did want to put him at the pet resort, can I do that for the day time and pick him up every evening?

Hi Kristen! I appreciate your question about bringing service dogs to Walt Disney Worlds. All resorts on property will accommodate service dogs in their rooms and all service dogs with proper identification will be allowed into the parks. Each park has an area where dogs can be walked to relieve themselves. Please remember that many months of the year it is quite hot and with all the concrete in the parks it can become hard on animals. Make sure they are as hydrated as you will need to be.

I do not know the exact classification of your dog and the service it specifically provides. Dogs whose sole purpose is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA guidelines. These dogs can be refused at the resorts and parks.

We have used the Best Friends Pet Care which is the pet boarding facility located right on the Disney property. It is across the street from the Port Orleans Riverside resort. They offer overnight and day care for your pet. You can certainly pick up after you have enjoyed the parks. It is open one hour before the earliest park opens and one hour after the last park closes.

If you have further questions it is best to call Disney direct before you plan your vacation!
