Hi Evan,
Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your Disney Vacation Club question.
I love getting away to Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas. I spent 10 perfect days at
Kidani Village with my family when I celebrated my 50th birthday. It was just wonderful.
Wellness is really important to me personally. (Ok, full disclosure, I am married to a Wellness Coach). So I think it's perfect that you're wanting to get to know the wellness and fitness amenities at Disney Vacation Club Resorts.
The
Survival of the Fittest Fitness Center offers a lot of options for you no matter what your workout regimen. You'll find a good selection of Life Fitness cardio machines. Several treadmills, cycles, recumbent cycles, ellipticals and stair climbers are available. The fitness center also offers free weights and weight machines. Best of all, the center is available 24 hours a day, so you can get your workout in at a time that's convenient.
I admit, I often get my daily steps and flights climbed at Walt Disney World just by walking the theme parks. And at Space Mountain (my lifelong favorite), the standby attraction queue is uphill, so that definitely counts! It's fun to track how many miles I walk in a day while at Walt Disney World. That's how I justify ending the day with a fine wine flight and delicious flatbread at
Jiko - The Cooking Place.
Enjoy your Disney!
Jerry
