Hi! If we are in Epcot (trip is 11/16-11/20) & have dinner reservations at Cal Grill, is the monorail or shuttle faster? Thanks so much-you guys are great! Anne from CT

    Hi!

The fastest way would be to take a taxi from Epcot to the Contemporary Resort.  If you are near the front of the park, then you can just get a taxi from there.  However, if you are in the World Showcase section of Epcot, then I recommend exiting at the International Gateway and then going to the Beach Club to get a taxi.  I have found taxis to be relatively inexpensive and a very easy way to get around Walt Disney World.

That said, if you want to use Disney Transportation, then I suggest taking a bus from the front of Epcot straight to the Contemporary Resort.  I believe that will be faster than taking the monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center and then transferring to a resort monorail to get to the Contemporary; however, a lot depends on your timing.  You could get lucky and show up just as a bus to the Contemporary arrives or you might have to wait twenty minutes before one shows up.

If you are in the back of Epcot, then I suggest going out the International Gateway entrance (near France and the United Kingdom Pavilions) and going to the Beach Club resort.  Once you are at the Beach Club, you can take a bus to the Magic Kingdom, and then walk from the Magic Kingdom Bus Station to the Contemporary Resort.

The California Grill is a great place for dinner!  Enjoy!
