Ho-Ho-Ho, Dave!
It sounds like you're already getting excited about the holidays - me too! As soon as the Christmas season ends each year I start longing for the holidays to return. The holidays are especially magical at Walt Disney World Resort. My family visits during every Christmas season, and we can hardly wait until it's time to visit this year!
While there's no "hard start" date for holiday decorations to appear at Walt Disney World, Guests can usually expect the first touches of holiday pixie dust to appear "magically" overnight between October 31 and November 1. As the Halloween decorations come down, the Christmas decorations go up! The same thing happens at my home, which my husband has grown used to. By the end of the first week of November, you can typically expect most everything to be fully decorated. The giant, gorgeous trees throughout Walt Disney World Resort truly are a sight to behold.
Epcot's decorations will start to appear a little bit later than the other theme parks, because the
Epcot International Food and Wine Festival will run through November 20, 2021. Following the Food and Wine Festival, Epcot kicks into holiday mode with the
Epcot International Festival of the Holidays. Dates and information have not yet been released for this year's event, but I am keeping a close eye on the Disney Parks Blog for the latest announcements. My family loves to sample all of the amazing treats at the Holiday Kitchens at this seasonal celebration, and participate in the
Holiday Cookie Stroll around the park. I'm getting hungry just thinking about some of the delicious cookies we devoured last Christmas!
I hope this helps with your planning for a Christmas-time visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth!
