Which Epcot restaurants are good for kids ages 6 & 7? Someone recommended the restaurant in Japan as the chefs cook right at the table and do a little show cutting and cooking the food. What are your thoughts?

Hi Alicemarie! I am in complete agreement with the recommendation of the Japan restaraunt. Kids love watching the show while they eat and many of the chefs really cater to the children. They might make a volcano out of the food or flip pieces of food to the kids so they can try to catch it in their mouths. Or maybe a shrimp tail lands in their chef's cap...it is a real show and very good food. Lunch is a better deal money wise if you have a choice.

The Biergarten at Germany is also a good choice and I suggest dinner. The buffet offers enough choices so that even the youngest culinary palate can find something good to eat. This location also has a show and it can include alpen horns, bells and polka dancing. My kids and now my grandchildren all loved getting on the floor and dancing away to the rousing music.

Via Napoli is a sure choice for the best pizza on property. I have been told that this restaurant actually has its own water system so they could duplicate the minerals that are in Naples Italy water. This is the reason the crust of the pizzas are so delicious. I have to say that this is a sure stop for my family on each visit.

One more spot that comes to mind in Epcot is Chefs de France for lunch when Remy comes around to each table to greet each guest. Who doesn't love this little Disney rat!

Other spots on property include Prime Time Cafe in the Hollywood Studios as well as Sci Fi Dine In Theater there. Crystal Palace and Be Our Guest in the Magic Kingdom and Tusker House at the Animal Kingdom. Whispering Canyon at the Wilderness lodge and of course Chef Mickey at the Contemporary. So many choices and only so many meals  to book!
